The latest question about video calling was in 2014. I would like to use Wire and in Telegra'me it should be possible to send a video message. Neither of this is possible with a Sailfish device. I hope it will be developed soon.

Like a broken record... We keep asking for real support for important apps like Wire and instead we get "innovative" (read - broken) designs implementing tabs in native apps (fast forward to the Past) or "brand new" pull down android menu. Same s* another year. How is this out of beta? Remember the silent movies from a 100 years ago - just picture no sound. That's the out of beta state of Wire in Sailfish 3.1. And whats the state of Xperia X, out of beta as well? What's the next big thing that's coming out of beta from Jollas labs with no basic functionality? At this point I believe not to many people care...

It is not likely to be developed soon, there simply is not enough overhead or staff to tackle any and all requests, further more and I've said this a number of times on similar posts, we, that is, the end users of SFOS, simply do NOT pay the bills at JHQ, the piddling sum of €50 is of no help to the bigger picture, I should think it barely covers the cost of offering it for download, let alone developing it.

Jolla is a small company in a large, large ocean (yada-yada), there isn't enough funding or staff which is why many aspects of SFOS are still in need of attention, let alone developing new apps and any potential licensing fees that may be incurred. However, the direction of SFOS is simply not steered by us, we are simply finding bugs, but the investors, who ever they actually are, are calling the shots = they pay the bills, the wages at JHQ.

Personally, I have no interest in the development of Wire, in fact, I had to look it up, didn't even know what it was. But I think that this feature request (not even tagged as such) will fall into Room 101 along with many other requests/ideas.....but of course, it doesn't hurt to ask and leave the question open.
