My Xperia X is starting to fail, screen and charging port are having issues. So I had to buy a new device. The XA2 is no longer available so I had to abandon Sailfish for now.

After a few days I do miss Sailfish swiping and the fact that the Android ones tend to think for you, whereas with Jolla 1 onwards I felt I was in charge (not the OS).

Where is the next hardware option? Eventually I will be back one day. Props to you all who remain sailing...

what do you mean by "xa2 is no longer available" ? there at least 4 different model just at a.m.a.z.o.n; unless you got your xperia with sailfish already installed it's the same procedure. Not sure if you need to buy a new sailfish license or if you can transfer to a new phone (?)

btw, what happened with the inoi 5x ? look like it's only available in Russia with android.

XA2 is not available locally anymore in Finland. I needed one fast since my old phone did not accept all usb cables anymore for charging. I fear its a matter of time before it wont accept any charger at all.

I really wish for an official Pinephone port. Fingers crossed!

PLEASE not a new device yet, let Jolla first make a good working OS out of the box wich takes full advantage of the hardware , no its still full with bugs, workarounds and missing features, X and XA2 variants.! And if u think otherwise u surely not read all the questions/bug reports/help topics on this site!

@aQUICK1 Believe it or not, but in a matter of a few months, new XA2 phones will be available only from few merchants on eBay and Amazon, selling it for an overpriced value and with doubtful reputation regarding communication with customers. And no possibility to buy a new device means no new users for Jolla which will inevitably lead to extinction of the community.

If you're interested, I have a spare SFOSX installed Sony xperia compact x (see g7's solution on this forum) I might sell. It's closer tot the size of the JP1. If you buy/transfer the licence for an xperia x, you can have upgrades, android support (android 4.4 kitkat) and text prediction. Let me know if you're interested then I send you my email ...

Thanks, but I already have purchased a Nokia 7.1 as my main phone for now. I really want an android 8.1 (or newer) compatible device for banking and ticket reasons.

It looks like the Xperia 10 might be the next one: https://together.jolla.com/question/210017/which-next-phone-for-sailfish-os-31-and-after/?answer=210034#post-id-210034. That answer also mentions the F(x)tec Pro1, which looks like a fantastic device for keyboard junkies, but I have not seen any definite information about Android support in SFOS for it.

I totally missed that topic, I found the X10 selling at 222€ so I might have gotten that. However the X10 is not as robust as the Xperia X.

I have already a X10 plus device and build the image off Sailfish on it ;)

This question is a duplicate of multiple questions, the latest (before this one) being "Which next phone for Sailfish OS 3.1 and after?" AFAICS and before that "Next device after XA2?" and many, many more!
Hence please do search before asking.

The "permanent answer" (as long as it is maintained) to these questions is here at TJC:
[Wiki] Available devices, plus rumored and legacy devices, running Sailfish OS.
