Does any Italian Sailfish X user have experience with the banking app from the bank Fineco? Does it work on an Xperia X? I only care about getting the two-factor code. Thanks!

Hi @Federico, no it doesn’t work. On XA2 the app works perfectly, but there’s no way to activate Strong Authentication, it relies on new Google framework and I could not get past SMS verification.

Many thanks @magullo. Do they support an alternative strong authentication method, such as SMS, or is the account basically unusable if I only have a Sailfish phone? I was thinking about opening one, but this is a major issue. :(

Sadly, you can use SMS, but as long as you opt in for SA, no way back. And as far as I can see, SMSs could also be completely removed.

For what it's worth, the customer support rep I spoke to today said that strong authentication via SMS is supported, and there are currently no plans to remove it.

I can confirm this, but as I said, as long as you don't opt in for the app verification. I did it and there's no turning back.
