It seems in the sms app, the newest sms gets sorted to the bottom, but on the homescreen (or whatever sailors call it) the newest sms sorts on top of the list. If that's true I say it's inconvenient - can it be changed? (and if it's not true I apologize of course)

Homescreen = Events view / notifications area
In the SMS app there's a conversation overview where latest conversations are on top, too. On a single conversation page the newest message is at bottom to be in line with other messaging apps, I think.
Btw. I'm on SFOS 3.0.1.11 but I think nothing changed in the newer versions in this regard.
