I would like to have the option to use my phone upside-down. Often it is more convenient to have the usb-port and/or audio plug pointing down. It would be the most important when talking, but that's unchangeable because of hardware. Of course it is subject to personal preference but that actually proves my point. You can't do both on the hardware, but you can fix it on the software side. I often used my N9 upside down when browsing with Opera. Also the connectors are on the wrong side while in a car-holder. I would like to tilt it to the right. I wouldn't like to destroy the connector by accidentally pulling the cord while it's bent, and with 360° rotation I could minimize the risk. Edit: Having the device upside-down could cause confusion, like putting the microphone in your ear, so the setting should be opt-in.

Almost certainly, this is a duplicate request of previous ones. Please check and then close this question. If you still think, this request is unique, please argue why. Search also using "landscape". See for example: https://together.jolla.com/question/281/landscape-mode-in-keyboard-gestures-browser-and-messages/

Thans for checking, but it's surely not duplicate. That question was about normal landscape mode and 90° rotation, which jolla admits is mandatory and on it's way. My suggestion can be considered highly questionable, but still I would like to see it some day. Lets see if anyone else agrees.

See the answer by Jaakko Roppola (chief designer at Jolla) there: "We really think that a modern operating system UI should be orientation independent,". Because Android is 360° rotatable, I can understand this only as 360° and not just 90° independent.

Thanks! I never tried an android device and didn't know that. However I still don't think this is duplicate. Sailfish is descendant of meego, and it had only 90°. Android version of opera also rotates 180° on sailfish, but not 360°. Edit: Also I don't want to comment on an answered question

OK. (By the way: Opera and my navigation software turn 360° on Android tablet, on Jolla only 270°).

Actually we already have it. I tested this with Webcat, and it was possible to turn the phone the whole round.

Thanks! I guess I can close the question now, as the rotation limitation doesn't seem to come from the operating system, but each app.
