What other Sony devices will jolla support? just introduced Xperia 5. It would be nice to have one with sailfish os! Or compact xz2. My xperia x is retiring slowly, so it would fit a new piece.

Of course, it is desirable to be able to install Sailfish on other devices. Nevertheless, I think that first of all the existing devices should be freed of bugs before further resources are wasted. Personally, I wished, for example, a smaller device. Maybe 4.5 or 4.7 inches. It is a question of prioritization.

As the Xperia 1 not part of the open device program. So no SailfishOS for it.

Could be that Sony will be closing the Open Device Program alltogether and that marks the end of consumer SailfishOS devices.

Yes. Already Sony has stopped selling phones in many countries. Is there any other OEM which supports a program similar to Sony?

That would be bad news for sailfish os fans.

It usually takes some time before a phone shows up among the Sony Open Devices. Both the Xperia 5 and the Xperia 1 are simply "too new", i guess.

Xperia 10 could probably be the next Jolla device, as far as things are now.

Definitely. The github repos have it already. Lets see if the more powerful Xperia 10+ will be supported aswell.

Xperia XA2 is actually the 'small' device available. With some week of use you will get used, even thanks to that curved back...

no, you won't. xperia x is smaller, yet I still struggle with it sometimes

Yep. In this case I would suggest the Oneplus X, there is a well done, updated SF porting for it. The device is similar to Xperia X, more thinner...

Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 are parts of the Sony Open Device program (good start) but they are only supported with Android 10.0 and Sailfish today requires Android 9.0. It might be a problem to get a port.
