This Request is valid at least for the following Android apps:

Device specific observations:

  • Plantronics Headset: Now I have the problem, that the pause/play/next, etc. buttons are not passed to the app. The headset goes into "pause" mode (no sound) but Antenna Pod keeps on playing. Pushing the play button once more does not reconnect to the sound from the app. I need to disconnect the headset an disconnect again to get it working again.
  • Sennheiser PX 201 BT: Start/Stop Music does not work. If I turn off the earphones the Andoid app (Spotify) keeps playing using the device speaker

UPDATE Could be the Antenna-Pod app is not the most stable one. I tried PodDroid from the Yandex Store and here Bluetooth reconnects to the stream once I press the button again.

Still, the problem remains, media keeps on playing in Android, when pause button pressed.

I confirm the problem. (AntennaPod+Plantronics Headset)

The "Pause" button does work on Android phone.

Hi, I improved the description as it seems to be a valid request for most of the Android apps.

I want the android emulation layer to support the bluetooth AVRCP profile.

Start/Stop over bluetooth does not work in my motorcycle helmet audio headset - Interphone F4. Also the maximum volume is way too low compared to earlier phones I've used with the headset. I play music via Spotify with Jolla.

BT control works when the mpris-proxy is running, also with Antennapod.

Just add a systemd service like described here: https://together.jolla.com/question/174156/bug-bluetooth-media-control-with-android-apps-and-native-apps/

It seems that mpris-proxy rsp. bluez-tools is not available for Bluez4 (i.e., on a Jolla 1 phone).
