How to recognise an active SailfishOS X license?

I'm just after buying a second-hand Xperia X which had SailfishOS X already installed (with license). The seller told me that he had asked Jolla beforehand whether it would be possible to transfer the license from his Jolla account to mine (and I have read at least one message in this forum confirming that). Jolla confirmed that, so he issued that request. Unfortunately, despite Jolla confirming the transfer, I still cannot see the licensed apps in the Jolla store - nor does an OS update via GUI work (it does work via CLI). Is there any other way to see whether the license on my Xperia X is active with my Jolla account? I've already searched around but could not find anything addressing this...

If you see the IMEI of your phone in your jolla account, is active the licence

That appears to be the case (just checked, I can see both my Jolla 1 and the Xperia X) - but why can I still not see the restricted Jolla apps (Exchange, Android) in the store? Is there any step I need to do on the phone other than adding my account to it?

You can try reinstalling Sailfish, maybe something is corrupted

When I obtained device with active Sailfish license, Jolla support removed license from device upon previous owner's request so that my purchased license could be applied to it. I wasn't aware that existing license could be transferred to a new owner.

just as an info: i have one device with sailfish free and it also appears on my jolla account and is indistinguishable to my Xperia x with payed sf. hence it seems to have your device in the list is not a proof for a paied version.
