I've been listening a lot of music with my media player recently while using some other apps, example the web browser. I realized that it could be even quicker to have the media player's commands in the pulley menu. I have no idea if that can be implemented at all, but it was an idea I had.

do you mean in pulley menu as component so that would effect all the pulley menus across all the apps? I don't know... maybe it would be better is some form in notifications? since you can open it with one swipe and you can then return to your app with the same swipe from bottom?

If you put it in notifications it's as fast as going to the multitasking screen, so it doesn't make it quicker, but otherwise that's a good suggestion

no it's not, or i just don't understand what are proposing :) as i understood you want to add actual buttons on pulley menu, so you will need to pull it down so it sticks and then push button. you can have these buttons for example at the bottom of the notifications... so you swipe up and and push the button - same amount of steps, and bonus: you can do it from any screen, not only containing pulley menu, and, as i said before, then you can swipe up and return to where you have been, which you can not do from MT area (plus your media app even may be not there since 9 apps max cap)

and if you proposing not buttons but actual lines in pulley menu then it's just wrong :)
