Hello jolla dev,

seems that the csd-tool lock the usage of fingerprint.
After i test the Fingerprint interface with the csd-tool, i Can't unlock my XA2+ anymore untill device restart.

Reproduction:
- Open Csd-tool.
- Tap on fingerprint sensor.
- make the test (is successful).
- the go to the next test.
- let the app closed (or not).
- spare the phone.
- Try to unlock the phone.

With my device the Fingerprint is then unable to unlock the phone. even if the csd-tool is closed.

The only way to retrieve it is to apply a new start.
Sad that is not possible to restart the interface with the utilities in settings.
Thought that the interface is controlled through a daemon or a kind of server.
Couldn't use many app this interface?

Have a nice sail , cheers

I cannot follow you here.

Tried it 'following' your guide (with lots of variations) on a XA2 and everytime my finger print detection is working...

For restarting use the console (fingerterm or whatever you like more) and type:

devel-su systemctl restart sailfish-fpd

So I do not really understand your request because then we would possibly have a sailfish utilities with "hundreds" of switches...

@peterleinchen many thanks for your remark, i reread myself and made some correction. Hope that is more understandable...
Thx for your interesting command... ideally it should be integrated into the vanilla sfos gui.
Cheers
