Whenever the phone rings, a notification sound is played in the BT headset instead of the ringtone itself. The device is ringing with the ringtone sound but the headset is playing a beeping notification sound. I am currently using a Jabra Wave Bluetooth headset, haven't tried a different headset. I was using the same headset with the N9 where you could hear the device ringing and also the same ringtone was played from the headset. Do other people have the same problem?

EDIT 15.08.2014 ( @zlatko ): Was originally - "Notification sound is heard instead of ringtone when using Bluetooth headset". Turned out it is not a bug, but missing functionality that needs to be added. Confirmation is received that it is in TODO, but still not road-mapped.

Just tried with a philips bluetooth headset. If the phone is ringing while listening to music, the music stop and I hear a ringtone which I don't know in the headset. The phone itself is ringing as the same time (normal ringtone). However, if I get a mitakuuluu message or a standard sms, I get no notifications in the headset.

Thanks for your input. I think that the phone is sending a standard "notification ringtone" to the bluetooth headset when it rings instead of sending the "normal" ringtone.

same happens to me, it's a very useful feature especially when there are different ringtones per contact or the caller's name read by the phone

What is going on with support for HFP in-band ringtones when using Bluetooth headset and Talking Caller ID? I bought Oneplus X and installed Sailfish OS but does not support these functions. For my business these functions are very necessary and for this and now use Symbian OS phone working.

Hi cquence,

we don't currently support HFP in-band ringtones, so the headset uses its own sound for incoming calls. Thus, this is a missing feature rather than a bug.

@hmallat Thank you for clarifying this. Is it on the roadmap to support HFP in band ringtones?

There is another issue with notifications. Is it also related to HFP profile?

zlatko: in-band ringtones are certainly on our todo list but I unfortunately cannot give a schedule yet when they will be implemented

Wickedsten: lack of sms notification sound with BT headphones has been fixed and the fix will be released in a software update

@hmallat Thank you for confirming it! For us it is important to know that a given issue is acknowledged by Jolla team and is worked on or certain feature is in TODO and will be implemented down the road. Votes just give a perspective how urgent or demanded is it. We all understand that so many things can't be done in a day or week.

Thansk for the confirmation. It is good to know that its on your todo list and therefore it will be fixed at some point.
