I know this bug was already reported long time ago, and even flagged as fixed/released. After upgrade from 2.2.0.9 to 3.2.0.12, it's there again: my two mail accounts are no longer synced automatically, with or without custom sync setting. This occurs with my Jolla phone and my Xperia X.

Deleting and rebuilding accounts doesn't help. Erasing files in /home/nemo/.cache/msyncd/sync/ doesn't help.

EDIT - It seems this will need long-term testing: at least with my Xperia X, the synchronization appears to succeed erratically. I don't think My WLAN connection is the issue, based on other activities.

I don't know if this is the same issue, but my Email app just stopped showing any mail whatsoever a few moments ago. Restarting the phone doesn't help. Are you able to sync email in any way? (I have two accounts, BTW. One is Gmail, one is custom IMAP)

Both accounts are IMAP (no Gmail or any other 'free' account). Can sync both of them manually only. This appeared only after 3.2.0.12 upgrade.

So it's not my case. Mine syncs both automatically and manually, just claims that I have no mail (I do).

@objectifnul can you run the sync daemon in background with debug on and gather logs. Particularly, what happens when the moment to trigger an automatic sync appears ? See https://together.jolla.com/question/207369/sailfish-os-logging-and-debugging/ or https://sailfishos.org/wiki/CalDAV_and_CardDAV_Community_Contributions#Sync_Logs

Maybe. However I don't know how to do so: should I edit msyncd.service? Also, it's difficult to catch the exact moment autosync is initiated and fails, unless there is a hack for this purpose.

So far, all I can say is this: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and I have no explanation.
