Hey all, i recently bought a XA2 Plus to install sailfish X on it. While i am waiting to get it delivered i was reading some posts about it. In some threads people are explaining their problems with the XA2 and Sailfish. How is the situation right now? I am using sailfish on a jolla, is the experience similar to Sailfish x on a XA2? Can i flash back to android if i am not satisfied with sailfish?

Greetings

The think about reflashing: The quality of pphotos remains the same.

The experience on the XA2 is, of course, not the same as on the Jolla. The hardware is much more powerful and everything is faster, and you can run more apps at the same time. On the downside, the drivers are less mature so you will likely get more quirks, as you can read on TJC.

i have an xa2+ too and i plainly satisfied with it. A great display, enough autonomy. lot's of reactivity. device well constructed and give solid impression. Jollas update make it step per step greater. ot's of android app work fine now. For my usage there is major issues. L Wish of improvement of calendar functionalities (case for all sfos users) 3td part device control per android app with bluetooth & wifi aren't really effective.

May i ask you which functionalities interest you especially, that is really important for you that it works?

I invite you to ready the release ticket of the next sfos release and especially the known main issues for XA2 devices: https://together.jolla.com/question/217843/release-notes-321-nuuksio/#217843-known-issues-specific-to-xperia-xa2

this part of ticket is interesting too.
One point affect me especially: "Android apps cannot use peripheral devices via Bluetooth - other than for playback of the sound. Therefore smartwatches, for instance, cannot be controlled from Android apps.". and don't know how many users it affect too. And i can represent myself that is not really trivial point to solve... at lot of people could live without it. Is a pretty nice to have (control peripheral like camera with a non android OS)...
