The sign in to the Google account is not possible anymore after the upgrade to 3.2.1 on a Sony Xperia XA2 Plus.

Google returns a key to be filled in in the application, which is not picked up by Sailfish anymore and there is no option to fill in this code manually anywhere.

Please fix this ASAP!

also tried to generate app-password from google account page (as workaround), but I didn't managed..

neither by removing 2 steps auth: defintely something related with API change or a new requirement

any idea as workaround?

the question you refer to is marked as solved but the problem still exists as I experience it too and without patchmanager. I cannot register my google account on a fresh-flashed Xperia 10+ but my Xperia X (still on 3.2.0 btw) is still connected to my google account. Note that I do not use two-step authentication method.

Yes, I can confirm this too when adding new Google accounts.

I tried restoring a backup, it created the accounts but they fail to work and asks me to login again. Then, when trying to relogin, the same issue happens asking to enter a code manually. Probably an issue with Google's API changing, but SFOS needs to adapt to it.

The problem with signing in to Google accounts was fixed in Sailfish OS release 3.2.1.20. It became available for all users on Dec 18th, 2019.
