I installed the latest SDK today and

when I startup Sailfish IDE (Qt Creator)

when I created a project and

when I tried to startup the build engine, or the emulator it fails.

Checking VirtualBox I saw no new VMs there!

.

So... I dug around in the Sailfish Install dir and found the *.vbox files and manually imported them into VirtualBox.

Now when I start either of the 2 VM's from QT Creator, they DO now start up but fail to be connected to from QT Creator.

I tried re-installing

OS is KDE NEON

What is wrong here?

Many thanks - Sailfish SDK Newbie here

Confirmed as nonworking on Mac Os Mojave and Mac Os Catalina. :-/

On Mac Os High Sierra before was working, but now I get issues on installing the Virtual box. Retry, install. But errors on building.

@nshiell you should find InstallationLog.txt file under the installation directory - could you please share that?

@minojolla Tested to work on macOS Mojave with VirtualBox 6.0.4. macOS High Sierra should work as well. Please ensure your VirtualBox is working well, including acceleration. (Try some regular Linux distro under it, e.g., Ubuntu?). If you still need more help, please open a separate question and be more specific.

@martyone Good, it's time to regain access to the SDK. On High Sierra last year was working. Also, I am now on a macbook pro notebook, no discrete gpu.
