Using the default browser for webmail access to MS exchange servers does not work. Tapping on a message does not open it. Sometimes it changes mode to one with tick boxes to select messages for operations. Actually, very rarely, like once in 25 tries or something, it does open the message, but it is basically useless. This is particularly unfortunate since the the mail client, which does read the messages fine, does not allow you (or just me?) to send messages (see https://together.jolla.com/question/188643).

Perhaps there is some specific type of tapping required to open a message? I have an XA2 with 3.2.1.20 (Nuuksio).

Cannot reproduce the issue you describe. Outlook web access works relatively well in Jolla browser, not much worse than in Firefox.

Are you sure your Exchange server and account are configured correctly? You mentioned you cannot send emails, so something is definitely wrong.

BTW: which Exchange version? 2016 here.

Thanks for checking! I tried again, and it actually seems to work better now. I believe the problem is that if I click on a message too soon after the list appears, for some reason it changes the view to one for selecting several messages (with boxes to tick). And then you have to leave that in order to be able to read messages.

As for the sailfish mail client I don't know how to tell the version or configuration of server. I don't run windows. The server is that of Stockholm University. The client did work with it, then this sending problem turned up, disappeared briefly, and came back over the course of several years. My settings certainly work for reading, and I see no setting specific to sending.
