Steps:

  1. Open the notes app, and create a new note.
  2. Delete the new note by long-pressing on its preview and then tapping on "delete". The remorse timer UI says "deleted" and displays an "undo" button.
  3. Close the notes app before the remorse timer runs out.

Observed behavior: the "deleted" note reappears when you reopen the app. Expected behavior: the deleted note stays deleted.

I did not try to do the same with other apps.

I'm afraid this happens also for many other apps - definitelly happens for the email client.

I wonder why Jolla changed "Deleting" to "Deleted". Nothing is done before the time has run out. Using past tense gives users wrong idea what is happening.

I do have a different experience. In gallery app, the action is performed immediately and can't be undone if you close the app before remorse timer runs out. As expected and different from pre 3.2.1 release where nothing was done before remorse timer ran out.

Yes, default behaviour since the beginnig.
Closing app cancels remore timer.

Take a look here
https://together.jolla.com/question/219487/having-remorses-for-your-remorse-timer-redesign/
and you know why a lot of people are upset. Inconsistent UI, irritating naming, ...

But we have hopes!

See above comment from me. If Jolla really wanted to change the behaviour, the naming would bd correct now. If the actions are not consistently working like that in every app, then this is another story of course ...

Seems to be kind of feature almost as old as sailfish. I think it's better continue here: https://together.jolla.com/question/89196/closing-app-cancels-remorse-timer/ and close this as duplicate.
