Email App: Select emails: Keep selection for multiple actions

Currently, when selecting some emails at once with the "select emails" view available from the pulley menu, one can perform one of the actions and the selection is gone. It would be very helpful if it is possible to keep the selection so one can apply multiple actions on the selected emails.
I guess when messages would be immediately marked as read when either moved to Junk folder or to Trash most of the need for this would be gone.
