No voicemail number restored from backup?

I recently changed from one SailfishOS device to a new one. I used the provided backup utility to copy the settings over.
Mostly it worked, but at least one parameter that was not copied was the voicemail number.
That makes me wonder where this number is stored, as it connected with the SIM card (and its related phone number). Perhaps the copy of the voicemail number would succeed IF the SIM card is present and active both in the old device during backup and new one during restore? (in my backup-and-restore the SIM card was still all the time in the old one)
