Its a bit hard to know how to describe these issues. Sony X10 Sailfish 3 1. I installed aliendalvik a few days ago. After I did that I couldn't make calls and I never found out how to uninstall it so I factory reset the phone. I can't directly attribute my problems to this app, but I will say that the phone has been working for months without a problem.

  1. After reset I couldn't get dual sims working. So I did another reset while at work. At home I don't have mobile coverage so I wanted to do it where I could do things uninterrupted with good mobile coverage.

  2. Still can't get the dual sim function working. I can get one working, but not two. If I have sim1 working I get the mobile network, but if I then activate sim2 and successfully search for the mobile network, I can get it, but it disconnects sim1.

  3. When one of the sim cards gets disconnected I get the message "not registered on the network".

  4. If I get one sim working and turn the phone off it doesn't connect automatically when I boot the phone back up. On these occasions I get the message "network disabled by Sailfish Device Manager". is there such a thing?

These problems are not consistent however. If for example I get one of the sim cards connected to the network, it will kick itself off for no apparent reason.

I don't understand this at all. When I first got the phone these dual sims were easy to configure. I can't see that I'm doing anything different. I've mucked around with this for most of the day on and off and I am just out of ideas. I am particularly thrown by the "Sailfish Device Manager" and the fact that this doesn't make consistent sense to me.

I hope this makes some sense, and more importantly I hope someone can help me.

Hello, you have a license, send a ticket even to: https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us They should solve and explain the issue better/faster...

How about reverting to Android, checking both SIM's work and re-installing Sailfish again?

Thanks for the replies. I am not skilled enough on mobiles to re-install Sailfish I'm afraid. I have taken the advice and submitted a ticket to Jolla. Puzzling problem this one.

Hello - only a question. Have you installed the app situation? I have the same phone and trubble with situation if I use the function 2G, 3G or 4G. I delete this action and hav no problems now.
Maybe it helps.
What you also can do is restarting the ofono daemon. You can use fingerterm with root rights or iyou nstall ShellEx and create the command "systemctl restart ofono". After run this command you get an order to use fingerprint to get root. Than you have to wait some minutes. First you get a info that you have no sim insert, but this is normal. But after view minutes its should work....

There is a bit of language barrier her unfortunately. I restored the phone to factory settings twice yesterday. If it requires the steps that you suggest then there is something amiss with the phone. This thing worked perfectly out of the box and now its a nightmare. I'm hampered by the fact that I don't have mobile at home and I wasted more than enough time on it at work yesterday. I will wait and see what the helpdesk comes back with. I truly think that this is shaping up as problem with the phone that has become apparent. Nothing else makes sense.

Thanks for the reply. I will remember your suggestion if there is no other alternative after the Jolla help desk reply.
