Doesn't notice earphone

The Xperia 10 single sim with 3.2.1.20 (Nuuksio) here doesn't recognise the provided earphone (& others) at all. The sound still comes through the phone speakers and no change is noticeable (screen & sound) when plugged in. Before installing Sailfish I did test them with Android 9 and they worked.
I assume you mean the phone doesn't recognize the wired headset at all and call audio still gets routed to earpiece instead of the headset? I suffer from this too, with my XA2 and XA2 Ultra phones, with SFOS 3.3.0.

As I read, SONY devices detect the wired headset connection by measuring the resistance (Ohm) between the jack pins. To make an AUX amplifier to work I used a slightly rusty spliter between cable and phone that did the trick. Also, with a SONY headset which didn't use it for ~2 years, and didn't work I had to rub it with a very thin sandpaper for a while to clean the connectors. From the first case I suppose the resistance was too little, and in the second case the resistance was to much.

@Sirous In my case a simple reboot actually fixed the issue for both devices I have (XA2 Ultra, XA2)... I feel a bit dumb now :)

I did restart it before I made the post and it did not change anything but today it did work fine and also a few other bugs that I noticed suddenly weren't there anymore. Nut sure why but it's good. I hope it stays that way.
