option to loop/combine countdown timers for workout

Many people do timed workouts during which you do one exercise and when the countdown timer beeps after the time is up, you go to the next exercise. Often there's a little break in between of say 10s.

This type of use would already be possible if it would be possible to loop a timer. In other words if you could tick a box so the timer would sound the chosen alarm and instantly repeat (with only a brief alarm that you don't have to switch off). It would be even better if it would be possible to have two different timers in one repeat loop. That way, you could sound a (potentially different) alarm at the end of the break.

Naturally it would be great if you could even program entire workout sessions like 20 x (1' + a 15" break) followed by 5 x (2' + a 5" break), but just being able to autorestart one timer would already facilitate this use case greatly and I think it would be a very minor change.

Hi,

The sequence you are describing (X rounds of Y workout time + Z break time) can also be called a Tabata interval.

While this feature is not included in the Clock app, you can find a few apps in the Jolla Store that do just that: I know of Tabata Timer, TabaTimer and Bodyweight timer.

Tabata Timer only lets you program one timer, TabaTimer up to 10 of them, and Bodyweight timer includes several other types of workout timers.

Thanks, it's good to know that there are apps that provide this functionality. I'll check them out. I upvoted your answer, but I'll leave my question open for a little longer. I think it would still be good if some of my suggestions would be implemented in the Clock app itself. I think some of them are relatively minor (like a simple repeat tick box) and would be quite nice to have in the default Clock app.
