In earlier version before 3.2 it was possible to kind of map /home/nemo/android_storage to sd card with an appropriate entry in /var/lib/lxc/aliendalvik/extra_config. Is this (or a similar method) possibe again in 3.3.0.16? Best regards, Uwe.

can't you just edit "#Mount /data" entry in "/var/lib/lxc/aliendalvik/config"?

lxc.mount.entry = /run/media/nemo/SDKARTE/Android data/media/0 none bind,create=dir 0 0
where SDKARTE is the sd card and Android a folder there, did not help. After restart of Aliendalvik I checked this with e.g. OpenCamera, which did not work with this. Any idea? Best regards, Uwe.

Not really a duplicate, because this old thread was for 3.1.0 where the lxc-entry was working; but not since 3.2.0. I would like to find out how a solution can be done in 3.3.0.16 (XA2 and aliendalvik-8.1.0.73.6-1.13.1.jolla.armv7hl). Do you know how this can be done? Best regrads, Uwe.
UweLabs ( 2020-05-24 19:37:23 +0300 )editNo, the thread is about "Externalising android_storage and other directories / files to SD-card". It is not specific to any SailfishOS version; quite the opposite, it (is supposed to) cover(s) all versions since SailfishOS 2.2.0.
While the guide proper does not cover AlienDailvik-8 at all (because obviouisly things are still in flux), the sub-thread started by this specific answer does provide a pointer to the AlienDalvik start-up script which fails:
/bin/start-aliendalvik-preinit.shOne may analyse this failure (as a starting point), if this is important for him/her. Apparently it was not important enough for somebody to do that, yet.
I concur, that a solution for externalising android_storage to SD-card on SailfishOS 3.2.0 and later with AlienDalvik-8 would be nice.
Still I would prefer to keep the information (including failures and their analyses) how to externalise android_storage to SD-card on all AlienDalvik and SailfishOS versions (since 2.2.0) in one thread, instead of spreading it over multiple ones, making them hard to find. Hence please continue to report any new insights WRT "externalising android_storage to SD-card on AlienDalvik-8" as comments to the aforemetioned answer, regardless if they address SailfishOS versions since 3.2.0 or before that.
P.S.: Repetitively asking for a solution in as many places as possible does not get anyone closer to such a solution. ;)
