Hello sailors,

i remark on my device that some mail which are in html formatted are not correctly displayed.
All the html tags are visible with the text.

Thought that it was already noticed here:
https://together.jolla.com/question/11988/email-app-implement-multipurpose-internet-mail-extensions-mime-support/
https://together.jolla.com/question/35092/hotmailcom-outlookcom-with-exchange-sync-of-mail-no-html/
And released.

Edit 11.06.2020:
I have an xperia xa2+ and use the ms-exchange for synchronisation between my mailo (formerly as netc) and my device. I didn't try it before because i didn't use it. And sync with mailo didn't work with imap and pop3. I use the exchange.
Issue is that html tags are to be seen on plain text mails with the mail app. not in mailo account (webgui).

Someone could inform if it's the same on its device with exchange or Pop 3 imap please?

example: DaveRo sent following mail as plain text:

If it's just a few emails, perhaps from the same few senders, you could examine the source - headers and body - to determine whether it's the sender or Jolla's email app at fault. If you have Thunderbird, it's ctrl-u. If it's not confidential you could post a link to it.

RFC 2045 and 2046 define the format (unless they've been superseded).

Hi @DaveRo, thank you for reply. i fear that i cant operate my analyse. I get it by my account of mailo.com. and i can only see the thread, or download it as text or eml...

it happens with 3 senders, one is from my own mail address at work, but don't happened with the one of coworker. The other one is from insurance. And the last one is from @Damien Caliste. Mailo display it correctly What do you mean with giving a link? means to send it forwards?

(I'm assuming these are emails you receive and display wrongly in the Jolla email app.)

An eml file is a text file which shows all headers and content of a message. If you could download that and put it on pastebin or similar, and post the link here, so we could examine it. You can replace anything private with XXXXXXX.

Or send it as an attachment to my addon support address on this page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/jolla-askbot-unseen-posts/ and I'll take alook.

Hi @DaveRo thank you very much for the proposal. I sent you a mail to your support mail with the *.eml files.
I'm not sure but, possible that the problem is bound with mails which have the "Content-Type: multipart/mixed;"?
I haven't a global overview of the nature of all mails in just one sight.
Do you have some Src-Code action on it? Is it complicated to make quickly a small test-patch applying filter to display all mails with same content type? Just to confirm the supposition...

Get help from @DaveRo and @Damien Caliste. but seems really complicated because of closed source of exchange part...
