Sarcasm: The answer is simple. Jolla analyzes the traffic to improve the user experience? And the best thing is, it's free!

is so sad to hear that. They are many of them out there that are can do the same work than google analytics. is too bad that we still think that things that are free are great....

thanks for the sarcasm..

It does not matter which tracker you use, you get rubbish and no meanful analysis. Many people use blocker and since GDPR you have to ask the user before tracking anything. I did a quick comparison on a few customer servers and the log analyser (GoAccess) outputs many times higher numbers than GA or Matomo. As conclusion we removed client side tracking completely.

Just add entries for all Google sites under localhost in your hosts file and live completely Google-free. Google is the world's most evil company - why would anyone with half a brain want anything to do with them?

@bocephus: Good you don't think in categories of black and white. 😜

Although I do avoid Google where I can as well. Sadly Defender has stopped working after the last update when using encryption.

@rozgwi Defender stopped working, but has anyone tested "Hosts Adblock" app from Openrepos?
