Improve the way SailfishOS and Android apps are differentiated in store

In system-update 1.0.3.8 a small icon attached to apps in Jolla Store was introduced to differentiate native SailfishOS and Android apps from each other. It just barely fulfills the requirement of being able see which apps are for which platform. Currently it is implemented in Jolla Store as follows:
- in start screen and in category views Android apps have a small circle with a green droid figure in middle that is shown in the right bottom corner of the app-icon (SailfishOS app icons are as before).
- in the application page the platform is shown with a small sailfish or droid icon and name of the OS just below the application name
Problems with this implementation:
- the droid icon is too small and unclear to identify it as such (in start and category views)
- if an application is already installed a check-box indicating this overwrites the Android icon in start and category views (and the OS information is lost)
- there isn't list views for SailfishOS and Android apps respectively
- users can't search or filter store apps based on the platform
For these reasons better design and clearer implementation to differentiate the OS (SailfishOS / Android) of store apps is needed.
This question can be used to post suggestions as Answer to propose how the current implementation and design shoud be improved and enhanced.
The distinction should be more clearer and a search for each category is a must as more apps come to the Jolla Store.

phle ( 2014-02-03 00:31:12 +0300 )editI think it's better keep these separated cause this is still focusing on enhancing the visible distinctions between native.and droid apps..There is also clear bug me in the current design as the.droid icon is overwritten by app-installed check-mark. Surr this is about browsing, searching and filtering the apps in store but mainly from the perspective of two different operating-systems. The current implementation is clearly not enough to see in all cases the platform of the apps. Any new proposals and suggestions to improve that can and should be posted here as answers. Thanks.
