Mail app layout idea

When reading certain emailbox, could the layout be like
Top of the screen: Short list of | Subject | sender | (about 5 rows or something, scrollable)
When you choose a subject it shows the mail below. If you change the mail just press the next subject on top. That way you don't have to go back when going through dozens ;-) of emails.
But also the visible part of the email will be quite small. In vertical layout I like the multiscreen view, However, a function to hop through mails in mailview would be nice. Maybe pulley or swipe left/right.
Nice would be landscape view with list left, mail right.
