Caller's voice quality during active call session?

Is it just my ears, but it feels that during the active call when the other party lowers his/hers voice it is very difficult to hear what is said. It is like the voice would have some damping on it.

Should there be some sort of dynamic monitoring during the active voice call, which would keep the voice quality as good as possible?

Otherwise I have had no issues with Jolla's call quality, but the sudden lowering of the other party tone or volume has started to be come issue for me.

Does anyone else noticed something like this?

Today noticed that it is the background noice that makes the the voice oft the other caller unclear and dampped.

I most of the cases I have had active call in car or at work where has quite high background noise.

Today i realized that when shutting the car engine the voice quality was immediately improved.

Is there any mechanism to monitor the background noice and modify the audiosignal coming to the ear speaker ih the phone?

If i am in an environment with a lot of background noise i can't hear what the caller is saying. The max volume in calls is to low i can't hear what the other end are saying and it's even worse when the call is made by an other Jolla phone. I tried to use an wired headset but it's the same problem the volume is low and the sound is bad, if i'm not in an active call and instead listen to media thru the headset the sound is loud and clear. If i use a headset the media max volume is much louder then the max call volume (background noise doesn't matter). With background noise the call sound does crackle some both with and without headset like in https://together.jolla.com/question/15875/bad-earphone-quality-crackles/ The other end of the line have no problem to hear me (no bad sound quality) with or without headset. For me this appears when i am in an service vehicle with lot of background noise, i have to use my N9 (with AHJ OMTP adapter if i use the headset) if i am in that car. My N9 has a lot better sound in the same environment. During an active call in a better environment everything works fine.

I too have hard time understand the caller on a bus or on the street. Sometimes I have to end a call because of this. The volume and quality (tone?) of the sound is not good. I think the tone also does not help, with other phones the sound is more hi-fi during call if you know what I mean. If something could be adjusted on software side, please, Jolla, do improve it.
