Hi,

I've downloaded the TOH developer kit from here: http://jolla.com/the-other-half-developer-kit It's a really nice document with a lot of valuable information.

To help the Jolla sailors perfect the kit, let's collect any mistakes we find in it and list them here.

[FIXED] Sections 2.2.2 (cover power) and 2.2.3 (external charger) contain the same text, so the document doesn't really contain information on cover power
[FIXED] Section 3.2.1: I think mydriver>toh_vdd should be mydriver->toh_vdd
[FIXED, waiting for update] Ambience template README file is missing a quotation mark at the "favorite: true line
[WONTFIX, for historical reasons] Throughout the document, ambience is spelled both as ambience and ambiance. Both are correct, but it is not ideal to use both spellings in one document.
[Request] Specify tolerance of the 1.8V i2c
In the latest revision, chapters 4 and 5 do not begin on a new page, and some tables are unnecessarily being split into two pages.

Also, the documentation cites dbussend and qdbus to debug and check for the available commands. None of these are available on the device, although there is a dbus-send...

We've corrected section 2.2.2 with the correct text now. Please download the kit again for the updated version.

Section 3.2.1: I think mydriver>toh_vdd should be mydriver->toh_vdd

For 3.2.1, for me the text seems correct "mydriver->vdd".. maybe try different PDF reader?

Ambience template README file is missing a quotation mark at the "favorite: true line

I'll update the internal git with the quotation fix, should come out next time we update the material.

For the ambiance thing.. well, that will stick there for now. The marketing name is ambiance, but we have some legacy from software of having ambience daemon, causing bit of awkward moments when writing the text.

I downloaded the kit again, thanks for the fixes! As for the ->, I'm not sure what was wrong, but the same pdf reader can now render it correctly.

hmm.. I actually checked now older version of the pdf and there the > was wrong. Well, anyways, now it seems to be correct.

@kjokinie: Ambiance is the marketing name, really??? Sounds odd because it is not used in any of Jolla's marketing material. The online guide speaks of ambience exclusively. The shop refers to them as ambience. The TOH page refers to them as ambience.

Excluding tjc, a Google search does not find any hits for ambiance on jolla.com.
