Because of this issue I was trying to manually delete some appointments from the Calendar database using SQLite3 tools on my laptop and noticed that after editing the calendar app would not read the DB anymore. This leads to my question:

Does Jolla have some intrusion detection to prevent tampering with system files and database (which would actually be excellent)?

If so what kind of intrusion detection and can you rebuild the signature database of it, so you can manually edit the calendar database?

No detection, most likely you have edited the db with wrong user:group combination that altered the filepermissions? Or did you edit the file with nemo.privileged-user by issuing "devel-su --privileged"-command? If you edited the file for example with root, then system will not be able to read it anymore.

I think that accidentally altering file permission or ownership can happen when copying a file between different systems but not when editing locally, for example with vi.

I carefully looked at the file and rights and I think indeed that during copying the file was set to root.root. I tried again to edit the db and use: "chown nemo.privileged db" to set the permissions correct and this works.
