I am not a coder/programmer/developer and therefore do not use the Developer mode. I would like answers on together.jolla.com that do not involve entering code in the developer mode. I would like a solution that is also usable for us 'normal users'. I don't mind answers with coding solutions, but I consider a question/request solved only when there is also a solution for 'normal users'.

The problem lies in the fact that there are two ways to change system properties in jolla, using developer mode and using updates.If you don't want to use developer mode, you have to wait for it to be fixed in an update.
The reason for this is pretty simple. Developer mode opens options for you to fix things which you otherwise couldn't. But, if you are allowed to fix things, you are also allowed to break things (badly). So in most cases there is no 'normal user' solution, other than 'wait for update that fixes it'.
