I think it would be a nice feature to be able to access the camera from the pulley menu even when the phone is locked. The time taken to unlock the phone THEN start the camera might make you miss the 'moment'.

A dedicated camera button would be good! I like a button-less UI, but would love a dedicated camera button and maybe a mute switch a la iPhone. Too late. Or could this fit into a TOH?

I think if someone makes a camera enhancement TOH, it's definitely possible. Something that i would definitely buy!

The dedicated camera button on my former Nokia 800 was great indeed! TOH is a good idea, maybe in addition to a dedicated camera button, the zoom etc. could also be set from there.

(this question is now closed (duplicate question), but I figured I should give @Stefanix an answer)

A dedicated camera button

It doesn't "unlock your Jolla", but when in the Camera app, you may use "volume up" as Camera button. :-)

(see Jolla User Guide:
Volume up can also be used to take pictures when you're using the Camera.)

It would be possible if an option of triple tap wakes up the device and then starts one app the user have previously set up, for example, the camera.
