Cover proximity sensor - > change volume -> release on proximity sensor -> screen flashes to show volume change

This is probably related to (power-)buttons being active with proximity sensor being covered.

I did not try what happens with device-lock.

EDIT: This was initially fixed in apr14 but some alien-dalvik soundpipe may leave it active - adding alien-dalvik to tags

Also screen turns on when device gets charged fully on charger. This might be related.

Not a bug to me: If the proximity sensor is covered, you don't get the visual feedback.

If you uncover the sensor while the visual feedback is still supposed to happen, it displays the remaining part of the feedback, that's why it just flashes, because only few ms remaining to display. If you uncover the sensor later, you won't have any visual feedback because it is already finished.

You can think these "volume key presses turns display on" events as kind of "mini alarms with timeout". I.e. if proximity is not covered initially - or it comes uncovered before the timeout -> display will turn on so that user can see the level adjustment that is being made.

Note that now the display should no longer turn on unless there is some process doing music playback.

Still needs further tuning as stopping/pausing playback is not detected unless it causes audio routing changes, i.e. things like selecting ring tone from settings can leave volume keys active until the settings app is closed.
