Unable to send USSD codes to service provider by tapping on the contact name from within Phone.

To reproduce the error:

  • Prerequisite: at least one contact with USSD code as number. (number format: *?#) Usually the service provider has this saved in the SIM card, for services like prepaid balance check etc.

  • Launch: Phone App > Navigate to: 'Call contact' (via pull-menu) > Select the contact to call (by tapping on the contact name) > Result: "Invalid phone number"

However, please note this kind of service requests can be made by entering the code directly to dial pad or by selecting the contact from People.

Just pointing out what I saw; If this is not an error and instead an expected behaviour, kindly close the thread. Thanks

changing it to USSD, guess that is what you mean, gsm-codes to divert and stuff... DTMF is dual-tone multi-frequency signaling and is needed to navigate your voicemail or dial-centers

Just noticed this has been asked already. It didn't come up in the searches probably due to different keywords or tags.
