I would like to have the option to authorized SMS only for mobile numbers. So the "send SMS" choice will only be availabe for numbers beginning with the defined numbers (with or not internatinal codes, etc...) for instance in contact app.

And when somebody calls me, the bottom menu that propose to send SMS should not be available is this case.

How would you like to define which phone numbers belong to mobile phones and which not? It should be possible to offer "Send SMS" option only for those phone numbers, which are marked as "mobile" in the Contacts list. But if you want to define the custom list of prefixes (so that even phone numbers, which are not in your list of contacts, can be handled) - this would be pretty tricky (and messy): you would have to keep a separate list of "my-mobile-prefixes" and have special UI for managing it

If I remember well, with my N9 (or maybe my N900) there was this possiblity. For instance in France, all mobile numbers beging with "06", "07" and maybe orthers. If they have the international prefix, they become "+336", "+337", ...

Do all countries have specific Mobile pre-fixes or first numbers? Is this list publically available?

THe USA does not (uses area codes of where the phone is registered?)

Maybe it is not applicable for all countries, but after checking, my N900 has this option in contact app parameters.

Why would you like to restrict to where you can send SMS? What is the use case behind? As SMS can be sent to landline telephones too, I don't see the reason to restrict SMS sending only towards mobile numbers.
