There is a very faint red light from the sensor area (top right corner) of the phone. Is this normal?

It also bother me. I'm not sure if it was visible since the beginning or if I did something wrong. But it's not visible on the other phones I've checked on (I can't even see it with a camera on the N9, but maybe it's because the glass in front of it is tinted?)

Fixed the headline. Hope it's OK?

Mine and two other Jollas now have this.I noticed it after u13. I asked my friend to check his before the update and he saw nothing. After the update a faint red dot appeared to top right corner.

This is the IR-LED from the proximity sensor. If you use a camera, you will see the light more clearly. Although a human eye usually can't see IR light, it's more or less normal as long as it's only a light shade.

It's quite clearly visible even in daylight, to me at least. Not much of a bother but it's weird.

Its very weird at night I think. But it is used to detect whether your phone is in your pocket or not (try to unlock it with your finger on the sensor...)

I can see mine at night. In daylight I can't see anything on my Jolla. So either your Jolla has a LED with a slighty off wavelength or your eyesight is extraordinary and you can see IR ;) Or we just have a different meaning of what is bright and what isn't....
