As a Jolla user, I would like to avoid making accidental calls from call log. The user interface could ask for user confirmation when a call log entry is tapped.

I'd prefer the Phone app's call log to open the user's contact card like it does in the People app.

Maybe swiping to the right at location of the persons name in the list (instead of tapping) could prevent pocket calls but still enable fast dialing?

Tap - open card, swipe - call? Long press as it is. Is this too confusing?

I personally do not think it is two complicated or confusing. I beleave average user most likely just taps and makes the dialing from the card page? I think that tapping on "phone" app will dial, and tapping in "people" app will open card page -logic is more confusing (same/similar list of persons, you need to remember where you are to know what will happen).

From the N900 I am used to get additional information when tapping an entry in the phone list (e.g. phone number of the other end, date and time [in the recent calls list I see the time only when the call has not been made "today"]).

From this screen with additional information I can either call (phone) or SMS or MMS or e-mail or ... the contact/number. This seems much more naturally than just starting the phone call itself -- accidentally, I have started a couple of phone calls last night when investigating this list.

In the upcoming update, we will provide an option in the Phone settings to disable quick call from logs. When disabled, tapping on the call log entry will open the corresponding contact card.

Please, add some semifast way to activate call from log e.g with swipe gesture. Overall, I like the speeddial prospect of current way to activate the call but it is just littte bit too "sensitive" as is.

^This would be a good idea - tap contact opens corresponding contact card, swipe contact and instead it calls the contact directly.

It would be nice, if the number from the log would be "highlighted" on the contact card e.g. the "call" and "sms" button would be shown for exactly the number from the log (if contact has multiple numbers).
