When will jolla be online while screen off?

Ok after latest bug fix the power consumption is great can run for days without recharging but the phone is not "online" when screen is off so kind of cheating. It's compared to the N9 offline mode. I set my email to check email every 15min and I often during a workday see email notification show 2 hours ago and up to 9 hours ago when I happen to check news or similar never had a notification while display were off. I also tried connect to the phone via ssh and no connection started before I activated the screen. So when we get tasks running in background? or is it some hidden setting I fail to find?

I think you are talking about 2 different issues that have already been reported here... the sync mail bug is one thing, and the SSH in is another one. You can actually SSH in, so long as it doesn't time out, it will just do it very slowly because the phone is pretty much in suspend mode.

The phone is indeed online while the screen is off. Try to send yourself an XMPP message or an SMS and you'll see.
