I really like the way how answering an incoming call or turning it down is done by pulley menus. What I find out to be rather incoherent is that after accepting a call and then closing it, you suddenly have to push a button at the bottom of the screen instead of using the same pulley menu you would be using if you turned an incoming call down. Would it be possible to change 'close call' button into pulley menu gesture? Or even use both button AND pulley menu, so the user could just use which ever he or she finds to be more natural to him/her?

Absolutely this. But if someone likes to end call with push button, it should be option. Also like incoming call pulleys have logo to hint what pulley contains, this should have similar too.
