[Request] add an option/default to silence chat notifications after first message

Please add option (default maybe?) to alert only on first message of a chat conversation.

There are several scenarios when the current behaviour is annoying:

you chat with someone using the phone - it will vibrate and chime on each line you receive
you chat with someone (e.g. google hangouts) on the pc, the phone chimes on each line

Another option which would be nice is to silence the notification tone when the conversation is in focus, and only for that conversation, or maybe downgrade to a vibration only notification.

That way you still get an audible notification if you're currently doing something in another app, and also a notification if a third-party messages you whilst you are already in a conversation.

But as mentioned in the Question, listening to notification sounds when your attention is already on the thing its trying to notify you about is annoying and unnecessary.
