Hi, I think I somewhere read that the XMPP part of Jolla is implemented using Telepathy. Reading the information at http://sipe.sourceforge.net/ it seems as if it should be possible to use Telepathy with the SIPE plugin.

I have used Pidgin and the SIPE plugin a lot and chat and presence information was working reliably. I'd love to see that on Jolla, too.

Why not replace that stupid looking $ with a nice and beautiful S, Tim? Didn't MS grew up (a little) since...

The less open platforms support M$ the better ;)

Hello Tim. I'm already build telepathy-haze with libpurple. I can try build sipe plugin for libpurple. And then you can try connect Lync via telepathy-haze.

That would be awesome, norguhtar. I'll definetely be a tester.

I'm try build plugin but now i can build it. configure broke on mer sdk. If i'm enable ssl. ssl check failed.

checking for purple SSL support... configure: error: in `/home/mersdk/rpmbuild/BUILD/purple-sipe': configure: error: your purple hasn't been compiled with SSL support.

test just segfault. I don't know why.
