Please help a non-techie [not relevant]

Hi,

so my Jolla is acting in a weird, weird way. Yesterday I went to sleep and everything was ok... This morning I awoke, I looked on my Jolla and there was this update sign and I was like: heyyyy, so cool, that there is the new update (excited)! I was a bit irritated when I saw that it was the old Naamankajärvi update. I shrugged and tried to install it anyways again. It said downloading for a looooooong, long time (2 hours). I was annoyed and turned my phone off and on and since then, nothing worked at all. People disappeared from the People app, Jolla Store doenst show my installed apps, I can give you other examples if you need them. I even cant try to download Naamankajärvi update again, even though it shows the ne update sign on the notifications page.

I'm not a techie at all so here is my question: Is there a chance that with the new update everything will be ok again? I Know that I can reset my device but I really dont want to do that since I tranferred a lot of people and their numbers manually, I bought apps, etc. ... Would be a LOT of work to do all that again. :/

So yeah...

I dont really know if this is important, but I havent enabled developer mode.

Morning Just_me_1992, lets start by saying you're not alone :) First things first, the update-to-the-same-version is a known bug and should be gone in the next/an upcoming release. Onto your problems. The Jolla store (and the updater AFAICS) are both quite sensitive to the network connection you have:- when you did the update/look at the store is it on wireless or 3G? With regards to the People app and contacts being missing, are they all gone or just some? Do you also have FB or Google accounts enabled?

Only some contacts, I have a facebook account enabled (and it is allowed to do everything, sync, etc.). No Google account (dont have one at all). I cant really recognize which people have been deleted. Some people vanished completely and for some only their picture. I did the update on wireless. :)

Did you take a back up? If so you can use restore to get your jolla back to its old state.

So, I turned my phone off and on for a few times today. Most of the stuff is back to working properly. The contacts are all back although not all of the photos. Well, whatever, I know how they look like... My Apps In Jolla Store are still not showing and it still says that there is an update. shrug I can work with my phone again, so I'm happy.
