Hello, the hardware switch for turning the volume up and down on the right side of the device feels a little bit too loose in my opinion . It can easily be moved around with my thumb and makes some clicking sound when the phone is moved. Is this normal or do I have to be concerned about a hardware problem only my jolla has? Thanks for your input in advance. Laubblaeser

Mine rattles a little as well, I'd say it's normal. Although you could argue it to be a design flaw as it doesn't give a polished feel. Instead it gives a cheap feel. Anyway seems like nothing to worry about.

Hm alright. If there'll ever be a problem with it, I guess we can count on Jolla to support us in repairing it. Especially since we are the first ones. ;-) But good to know that this seems to be not only the case with my device. The cheap feeling it gives is still there though... :-/

Hmm. Mine doesn't rattle and seems firm enough. Looks like whatever factory Jolla is using isn't perfectly consistent?

mine too. I think it'a an issue of a cheap design. Der_pepe, member of TMO community when opened the jolla hardware noticed that "...the buttons are actually made of rubber with the aluminum part glued onto them"

Note that for me it doesn't rattle on its own. It does move around some when lightly touching it.

For me it rattles if I shake the phone lightly. There is maybe half a millimeter slack in total. Doesn't bother me really. As long as it does not fall off. ;)

Mine is held firmly in place. I can jiggle it slightly up or down with the thumb, but it doesn't move on its own. Either I've been lucky or you've been unlucky.
