Would be nice to have spamfiltering for emails.

@kevlan make that an answer, spamfiltering has to happen on server side - we are in the era of imap and inbox filter

bayesian spam filter plugins are available on many foss email clients, on jolla this should be at least an option as mail plugin.

My isp's server has filtering and I get very seldom spam to my computer. In Jolla I can see spam which do not come to computer from same server. I can not understand why, but would be nice to refilter them.

my experience with ISP filtering has been bad (I never received important work emails) - as it drops the spammy mail altogether, no option to have them in a spam folder to recover the false positives - therefore 2-3 years ago I started to do client side spam with my trained bayesian rules.

imo spamfiltering should be on serverside not client
get a mailprovider that does spamfiltering or setup eg dpsam with sieve on your mailserver

Yeah but if the client can trigger the server side spam filtering that would be nice. I hate logging into gmail from the phone browser just to transfer to spam. Edit: sorry if that makes me sound noobish. Just some wishful thinking

well sieve plugin would be nice, but it would take some time to develop, I guess there are much more important things to do at Jolla
