Hello,

Didn't some of you already experienced that...? After a while, when the light dimms (depending on what time you set for screen shutdown), from then until the screen goes black (maybe 1 second) you can quickly press anywhere just to prevent screen from going out. But if I intentionally - and in this moment, while the screen is dimmed - press on a certain point (e.g. refreshing page) or just want to scroll, the phone does not respond to it as an a action, so I have to do it again (= pressing one time preventing screen from going out and second time for the action I actually wanted). It would be nice if the intended action would be conducted immediately.

Do you like the current behaviour or the just suggested more?

EDIT: Looks like you want to keep the current behaviour, so I'm closing the question. Thanks!

I think the behavior you request is not implemented because there is the risk of triggering an unwanted action. The current behavior may be a bit inconvenient, sometime, but it is predictable and may also avoid some grief in the long run. So personally I would not want it changed.

Absolutely, like it is now you can aviod unwanted actions... So both ways/behaviours have pros and contras. What do the others think about this?

I see it the same way as mikelima. This prevents you from tapping somewhere you didn't want to tap in a very predictable way. This should be kept as is, imo.

I agree with the above - partially; keep the functionality as it is. However, currently the "avoiding unwanted taps" is quite theoretical as an argument since, as torcida wrote, the timeframe for this is only around 2 seconds. It is highly more likely to accidentally tap on the screen while it is NOT in the dimmed state.

My personal preference would be to retain the functionality but make the dimming happen a lot sooner or, at least, to last longer. A configurable setting next to display sleep timer perhaps?
