On the iPhone there is the ingenious bounce when you reach the end of a scrollable area. Windows Phone does (I believe) a squish. With Sailfish there is basically nothing. I understand various methods are probably patented, but there must be some way of showing this in a clear manner to give the user a more tactile experience and to know the app hasn't got stuck and that there is no more content.

A simple suggestion, if not particularly sexy, would be that the sliding area fades to background. Alternatively maybe the finger kind of scrunches up the area above it (if scrolling up), paper/metal style, while stretching below it.

Other suggestions?

This is a duplicate of https://together.jolla.com/question/16340/having-a-elastic-scrol-feedback-at-bottom-of-screen/. Some solution for this may be implemented in the next update, at least that is hinted by some video of 1.0.4.1.

Cheers. I did try a search but didn't find it. I think the fading out is a bit dull as an effect (though very easy to implement). Would prefer to see something like the scrunching setup described above.

We'll see what kind of solution we get next week... Anyway, I'll close this as duplicate, discussion can be done in the earlier question & if you want you can add your proposal as an answer there.

I believe this is coming in a week or so. Is part of the march update but don't know to which extend. At least the videos from MWC had that feature for the apps page.
