Does the Sailfish web browser support WebRTC. If not, it would be a highly desirable feature. Currently Firefox, Chrome and Opera support WebRTC - Safari and IE10 do not. The possibilities with WebRTC are infinite and there are some superb examples of its use already out there on the web. A particularly good one, that I use often is https://appear.in/ It is a web based realtime video conference and screen sharing solution (totally free) allowing up to 8 people to video conference with nothing but their browser. It works on desktop, mobile and tablet.

At the momement sailfish-browser does not yet support WebRTC. I agree that this is important feature and we do want this in the browser. In general we want to support HTML5 as well as possible.

What video and audio codecs you plan to support, afaik mozilla do not support vp8 coz of license problems or something

if you could integrate webrtc IN sailfishOS it would be far more awesome. Make it the "official" chat/video conference/etc app. (i know its not an app but i hope you get what i mean)

@ZogG As far as I know the codec support will not be changed in near future. The ones we got we continue to support

And the one you got is?
