This wiki shall serve as a reference where to find configurations, ini, system sounds, log etc. files of Sailfish OS including Alien Dalvik.

This question should only direct to the corresponding information, which may be answers here to this questions or other questions and their answers. Generally, this list should link to questions and not double the information, because the original questions and answers may provide additional background information. However, if the path/file is mentioned in a comment only, add a corresponding answer here (comments cannot be linked directly, because their static URL cannot easily be worked out).

In order that this question is kept neatly and clear, for app configuration files I suggest opening another question (one per app), if there should be a need for this.

Ambiences

Stock Ambience definitions

/usr/share/ambience
Colors and sounds are defined in the *.ambience text files

See comment to https://together.jolla.com/question/11783/how-to-fine-tune-ambiences-colors-used/?answer=12168#post-id-12168

You can create your own stock Ambiences, for an example see Answer by @Markkyboy to question Black and white ambiences.

User Ambiences

Data on user Ambiences are saved in a SQL database file: /home/nemo/.local/share/system/privileged/Ambienced/ambienced.sqlite

Found in comment to: How to list custom ambiences?. However, it seems you cannot amend any setting there.

Of interest may also be the discussion, how you can retrieve custom Ambience settings and activate them: https://together.jolla.com/question/38183/location-of-custom-ambience-from-gallery/

Comments

Seems that only color settings in ambience database are non-permanently writeable. I tried changing e.g. ringerVolume and that change was permanent (i.e. didn't reset even though I activated the ambience I changed).

System sound files

  • Sound files in general: /usr/share/sounds/*
  • Notification sounds: /usr/share/sounds/jolla-ringtones/stereo
  • System sounds:
    /usr/share/sounds/jolla-ambient/stereo and
    /usr/share/sounds/freedesktop/stereo

Found in comment to: Jolla sounds not well-engineered as notification sounds. In the comments there are also detailed instructions how to copy files to the notification sounds directory (click "see more comments").
