Multiple small tweaks [not a question]

There are a few small things that I feel would make Sailfish OS a lot smoother to work with:

  • Android apps should give notification sounds and light. Notifications already show up in the overview, this shouldn't be too difficult to add.
  • Open links in a new browser tab instead of overwriting the active tab. (e.g. from a mail)
  • Automatically unlock when pin is correct without having to press unlock.
  • Create app folders/grouping
  • Put toggles on the cover of the settings app (or place wifi/bluetooth toggle on another convenient place)
  • SD card needs to show in windows file manager. (at least a symlink like explained in: https://together.jolla.com/question/5096/sd-card-access-via-usb-is-needed/)
  • Turn off auto download for album pictures in the media app. After playing some music there were dozens of album images in my galery app.
  • Ambience downloads in the Jolla store.
  • Make file locations compatible between android/Sailfish OS. Images that I download from whatsapp don't show up in galery and images in home/downloads (filebox, browser) dont show up in Android.
  • Show remaining characters in sms. There is a limit of 165 characters per sms but I have no way of knowing when I reach that limit.
  • Put focus on the URL bar after opening a new tab.
  • Auto close notification screen after selecting a notification does not always work.
  • Flick away a single notification without opening the app.
  • Support landscape gestures in Android, the Android apps flick over to landscape mode but you need to use the gestures as if in portrait.
  • Start a new line with a capital letter. (keyboard)
  • Turn off text-suggestions. (keyboard)

Please read: https://together.jolla.com/question/4389/together-howto-question-answer-and-comment/?answer=4393#post-id-4393 Limiting a question to one issue is the best approach. If you search for the issues you mention you will most likely find all of them are already here.

Ok apologies, didn't search for the howto yet. I thought this would be a better solution than to clutter the forum with tiny suggestions. I'll split it up into seperate topics. Before posting I searched for some of these and not all of them were present yet.

@tweekAlso when you just edit some mistypes - do tick the check box "minor edit" :) Thank you for contributing here! Do not get me and @Tanghus wrong - we are looking for the best way to keep the place useful.
