Yes i know you can install it from openrepos. And yes i know people that need this is a small percentage of your clients.
But this is 1.0 and your phone is available all over Europe.
So could you please provide something official. Just the layout. Text prediction and other fancy stuff can wait.

When Jolla sells a product in Europe has to take in consideration to support the localisation of the destination countries. In Greece, the language (read/write) is Greek. The people don't use other languages. This was the reason why the Euro banknote has the translation in Greek: "ΕΥΡΩ" (many people in other countries don't even notice).
It is very hard to spread Jolla phone in Greece as it is, only technical users will be interrested and even technical users need to write an email/sms to a Greek-speaking person though.
The work for the Greek localisation, keyboard - translation, has been already done by volunteers included me.
@dglent The OS translation will be handled by the community once the localization tool is ready. That is the easy part. The keyboard layout part is problematic because they cant allow contributions (ie. kbd layouts in the store) due to api stability & security. And this is a problem that Jolla (Pekka to be exact) has to solve.
As for spreading the products in greece yes it is difficult due to localization issues. I personally hate translated software but my mom -if i buy her a Jolla tablet- will highly appreciate it.

I guess this has something to do with updates (including new support for split keyboard in landscape mode). Same issue appears with Bulgarian keyboard layout from openrepos, see this issue.
Please Jolla, include a Greek keyboard layout, it's about time...

It also does not learn new words... Does it? Is it possible to add a greek dictionary?

I can find a list from a dictionary, i need to know how to use it as a prediction list
